Date
Spring commencement is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 3:00 pm.

Graduates should arrive by 2:00 pm and doors will open for guests at 2:00 pm.

Location
The location for the May 2025 commencement is St. Michael Catholic Church located at 4491 Springfield Road, Glen Allen, VA, 23060.

Dress Code
Students should refer to the Preparing for the Ceremony page for details. 

Please refrain from bringing any balloons or noisemakers. If we see items that are distracting or cause any disturbance during the ceremony, we will ask that you place them in your car.

Diplomas
Graduates will receive their diplomas upon arrival at the ceremony venue. Graduates who have obtained approal from the Dean to not attend the ceremony will have their diplomas shipped to the address listed in the Student Portal.

Radiography Pins
As traditionally part of our ceremony, graduates will receive their SOMI pins during commencement.

Tickets
Guests will not need tickets but will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. Venue capacity is limited to 200 inclusive of all graduates, guests, and faculty.

Parking 
General parking is available at the ceremony location. Guests and graduates should enter through the doors under the belltower.
